Eye Makeup Tips: Makeup To Asian Eyes

Makeup To Asian Eyes

*Step 1*
Moisturize the eye area (lids, corners, and under eye areas) with
moisturizing or firming eye cream.

*Step 2*
With your ring finger gently apply concealer to the undereye area and
on to the eye lids, this will help the eye makeup adhere longer. Wait
about a minute to dry. You want to make sure the concealer you are
using matches your skin color and is not too light or dark. Your best
bet is to go to a makeup counter and ask for help by testing different
shades until you find the one that is right for you. Personally, I
LOVE MAC makeup.

*Step 3*
Apply a neutral shimmery shade to the eye lids by using an eye shadow
brush and gently tapping onto the lid. The neutral shimmer highlights
the eyes to make it stand out: using dark shades make eyes look
smaller. The tapping helps the color to build on top of each other.
You may highlight your brow bone with a shade just a tad lighter than
the one used on your lids, blend using the eye shadow blending brush
so the colors look soft and not separated.

*Step 4*
Next, apply eye liner (black, dark brown, or plum work best) to the
top of the lids by using small strokes and smudging together with your
finger so the line doesn't look too harsh.

*Step 5*
Last, apply mascara. Mascara really opens up the eye. I like to apply
two to three coats with drying time in between to get the stand out
effect.

Eye Makeup Tips: How to Get Rid of Pimples and Blemishes

How to Get Rid of Pimples and Blemishes
http://eyemakeupfreetips.info/files/2010/08/3.jpg

Pimples, blemishes and acne are the most universal skin care
complaints and can be a huge source of embarrassment. Contrary to
common belief, this problem is not exclusive to teens and adolescents.
Adults often experience acne problems after years of clear skin.
Treatment of pimples is somewhat tricky. While there's no quick,
homemade cure for those unsightly blemishes, putting a stop to major
breakouts will greatly reduce your discomfort and chance of scarring.

*Prevention*
Keep your face clean and don't overscrub it. This will only irritate
your skin and make you more prone to breakouts. Wash your face gently
twice a day with antibacterial or mild soap, perhaps three times a day
for acne prone skin. Do not use harsh soaps and fragrances as they may
aggravate pimples.

To avoid transferring bacteria and germs, clean your pillowcase,
washcloths, towels, make-up brushes and applicators frequently. Try
washing your make-up applicators in antibacterial soap or clarifying
shampoo. Keep your hair clean and out of your face. Along the same
line, keep your phone mouthpiece and writing instruments away from
your chin and clean them often.
Avoid wearing heavy make-up and always wash it off before going to
bed. Buy make-up specifically designed for your skin type and throw it
away after it's expiration date.
Wash your hands frequently and make a conscious effort to avoid
touching your face during the daytime hours. This is when you're most
likely to do it and you may not realize that it's a habit.

Any correlation to diet and blemishes is a myth. There is no proof
that greasy food and sugar will cause your skin to break out, however,
too much junk food can lead to health problems down the road --- so
keep your diet healthy.

It's best to keep your anxiety level down and get your beauty rest.
When you're under stress, do not neglect your skin care routine. Take
the time for preventive maintenance or your pimples will return with a
vengeance.

*Stopping Pimples and Blemishes*
Acne prone people are still going to experience pimples and blemishes,
even after the best skin care routine. After they appear, knowing how
to get rid of them quickly and sensibly reduces your chance of
scarring.
Use the preventive maintenance above, along with some pimple drying
techniques to shorten the life of your blemishes and breakouts.
If your skin is oily, use an over the counter cleanser that contains
salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to start the drying process. If
you're experiencing one of those painful "under the skin, cystic"
pimples, put a warm compress on it to drain it first, then dry it up
with benzoyl peroxide. Sometimes putting a small piece of tape on your
blemish overnight will help draw out the fluid and infection.
Another overnight home remedy for zapping a zit is to put a dab of
toothpaste (not gel) on it to help dry it out. You may need to test
this on a short-term basis to make sure it doesn't irritate your
pimple. Calamine lotion will have the same drying effect.
Aspirin is a painkiller and an anti-inflammatory drug. It can also be
used for drying out pimples. Put uncoated aspirin in a small bowl.
Crush with a spoon and add warm water to make a paste. Apply it to the
pimple and leave it on for several minutes. Rinse. You should notice
reduced redness and swelling. This also works on bug bites!
It's not recommended to squeeze a pimple, but the jury is still out.
While doing this makes you more prone to scarring and skin
discolorations, sometimes it's the only fast way to drain it. If
you're at the point where you feel the need to squeeze, consult your
dermatologist for treatment.
If blemishes persist, scarring needs to be prevented and there are
many useful products to put a stop to recurring acne and pimples. If
your blemish is gone and you have some discoloration but no scar,
don't fret. Chances are, it will fade with time.
*Reduce the Appearance of Spots*
Quick-fixes to reduce the appearance and redness of your pimples can
get you through the day. To lessen the swelling, some people swear
that hemorrhoid cream will do the trick overnight. Or, try putting an
ice cube on the spot for a couple of minutes before applying your
make-up in the morning.
To get rid of the redness, use eye drops specifically made to reduce
the redness in your eyes, (like Visene.) Give it some time so work and
cover your blemish with a concealer stick and a dab of pressed powder.

If your attending an important event such as a wedding, your
dermatologist can give you a cortisone injection 24 hours before the
event to quick-start the healing process.

*Treating Acne and Pimples on your Back*

While all of the above home remedies are affective for pimples,
there's no doubt, the back is difficult to treat without some help.
Invest in a good back-scrubber to get to the areas you can't reach in
the shower and always use clean, dry towels.
Ask for some help to apply some astringent to your back with cotton
balls after every bath and shower. Keep your bed sheets and mattress
pad clean. If you have discoloration but no scars, these too will
probably fade as time passes.

Eye Makeup Tips: Makeup Tricks And Tips

Makeup Tricks And Tips
http://eyemakeupfreetips.info/wp-content/blogs.dir/27/files/HLIC/a4195037c0c99002d6242cd36e0aa5d6.jpg

While cosmetics are something that many women can't live without,
others like keep it minimal and look natural. Whether you're a young
or mature woman, these free tips are for those who want accent their
finest features and look their best.

Remember, make-up is a great beauty enhancer, but you need to remove
it every night and let your skin breathe --- so you don't end up with
clogged pores and blemishes. Here you'll find free make up tips and
tricks to give you a stunning look for both casual and formal
occasions.

*Applying Foundation*
Learn which type of foundation will create the perfect base for you.
Your foundation should match your face and neck, so don't try it on
your hand or arm for color a match.
Use a foundation with a sunscreen with at least SPF 15 to prevent
future skin damage.
Ask for samples at the cosmetics counter but not before determining
your skin type.
You will probably need a different shade of foundation for each
season, so don't use the same one all year long. Blending colors
sometimes is the only way to get a perfect match.
Don't forget to apply foundation on your eyelids, lips and into your
neck for a more natural look. This also is a good setting for eye
shadow and lipstick and helps it stay on longer.
For clear complexions, sometimes all you need is a tinted moisturizer
for a natural look.
Liquid foundation is usually water based and is best for dry skin. Use
a sponge or your fingers to blend from the nose, out.
Liquid foundation can settle and separate, so remember to shake it up
before use.
Apply loose translucent powder with a large cosmetics brush to "set"
your foundation and keep it from running in hot and humid weather.
For dry skin, apply a light moisturizer before your foundation.
Powder foundation is ideal for oily skin and will help reduce shine.
Use a concealer for those nasty blemishes and pat lightly with pressed
powder.
If your foundation is too heavy, add a couple drops of moisturizer to
thin.
After applying make-up, go outside or near a window to check for
blunders.
*Eye Make-up*
Overly plucked eyebrows look unnatural and make your eyes appear
smaller.
Use Eye shadow to shape and define your eyes. Three shades are ideal
with the darkest on the lid and the lightest just below the brow bone.

Neutral tones are the best for daytime.
Cream eye shadow is best used sparingly and only in cool weather. It
has a tendency to crease. If you prefer the cream look, try a frost
powder shadow that has a similar look.
Powder eye shadow stays on the longest.
Matte eye shadow looks better than frost if you're tired. Frost shadow
draws attention to wrinkles.
Extend your eye shadow above the lid (crease) and use a light shadow
or highlighter right beneath your brow to open up your eyes and make
them appear larger.
Using an eyelash curler before you apply mascara will shape your
lashes and extend them to the fullest potential. To prevent damage, do
not hold the curler too close to the roots.
Black/Brown mascara and eyeliner flatters most faces, blondes,
brunettes, and redheads. Black is usually too harsh, especially for
blondes.
For extra thick, fuller eyelashes, apply mascara to the top and bottom
of your lashes.
When applying mascara to your bottom lashes, fold a sheet of toilet
paper or tissue underneath the lashes and apply. This keeps mascara
from getting on your face.
Mascara is best when two coats are applied. Make sure the first coat
is dry before applying the second.
Use unscented baby wipes to remove eye make-up. Rub lightly.
If you use liquid eye liner for a more dramatic effect, practice
making straight lines. Crooked eyeliner will ruin your look.
Eyeliner on the lower lids can make your eyes appear smaller. To open
them up, line only the upper lids.
Put your eye pencils in the freezer for a few minutes before
sharpening.
Waterproof mascara is a must if you're participating in swimming and
outdoor sports. Same goes for emotional events such as weddings and
funerals.
*Lips*
Keep lips moisturized at night with petroleum jelly or lip balm.
Use a lip liner that matches your lipstick.
To make thin lips appear larger, apply your liner just outside of your
natural lip line. Add a final touch with lip gloss.
Apply pressed powder on and around your lips if your lipstick has a
tendency to "bleed."
If you're blond, avoid dark colors that appear too harsh.
Never apply lipstick testers to your lips in a store. It's not
hygienic. Try applying it to the back of your wrist instead.
Unless your teeth are sparkling white, avoid coral and orange
lipsticks. Instead, try red, pink or plum.
To avoid getting lipstick on your teeth, after application, run your
finger through the middle of your lips and pull it back out. The
excess will come off on your finger --- not your teeth.
*Cheeks*
For tan or dark skin, apply bronzing powder to cheeks in lieu of
blusher.
Pinch your cheeks for an instant glow.
Use a medium-sized blush brush to avoid a striping affect.
Apply blush to the apple of your cheeks and just underneath your jaw.
Avoid the old technique of applying blush outwards towards the temple.
(Updated.)
Try peach colored blush for a great sun-kissed look.
If you don't wear foundation, try a liquid or crème blush.
*General Makeup Tips*
Always use good lighting and a clean mirror.
Keep your make-up light in the summer. Heavy foundation will cake and
melt off in the summer heat and humidity, leaving you with a streaked
look.
For proper hygiene, don't use outdated cosmetics, particularly around
the eye area and never share your make-up with anyone.
Try bronzing powder underneath your cheeks and jawbone to make your
face appear slimmer.
To make your nose appear smaller, apply bronzing powder carefully down
the sides. Add a little shimmer creme or powder down the bridge of
your nose.
Use Q-tips to blend in any eye shadow that has fallen on your cheeks
or face.
Clean your make up brushes and applicators often to reduce bacteria
and oil.
If your powder blush or eye shadow breaks up in the compact, use
alcohol to press it back together.

Eye Makeup Free Tips: Cool Eye Shadows for Blue Eyes

Cool Eye Shadows for Blue Eyes

Blue Eyes with Pale Blue ShadowMany women with blue eyes also look
fabulous with cool eye shadow shades. Some great choices include:

*Pale to medium blue*
Pale pink shades
Violet
Purple
Deep or midnight blue
Many women find that using a dark shade of blue will actually bring
out the more natural blue tones in the eyes which creates a brighter
and more vibrant look.

Turquoise and teal shades can also work for blue eyes. For women with
blue eyes that have a touch of green or hazel, teal shades can bring
our that green tint for a fresh look. Just be careful not to overdo
these bright hues.

Violets and lavenders are most recommended for women with a
combination of baby blues and blonde hair. This is because a light
purple is flattering for most blondes with fair skin.

You can use violet on the creases of your eyelids as well as on the
lid in general. A lighter lavender above the crease will give you a
more dramatic look for evenings. More neutral colors are ideal for
daytime, but it's always fun to wear purple no matter what the time or
season!

*Neutral Shadows for Blue Eyes*

Blue Eyes with Brown ShadowMost neutral shades, such as taupe and
champagne, look excellent with blue eyes and work well for a natural
look. Tans and browns can flatter the shape and shade of your eyes
without overpowering your hair or other features, and most brown
shadow shades are very pleasing colors for blue eyes.

*Consider:*
White shadow
Grey shades
Khaki colored shadow
Chocolate brown
Camel shadow
For those blessed with naturally red hair, brown shades will tend to
work better on your blue eyes. Since your hair is already such a
vibrant color, your skin tone and eyes will demand a more natural
looking shadow

At the moment, the beauty press is alight with the term 'brown is the
new black', but, when it comes to the latest make-up shades, one star
has shown that not all the trends will apply to you.

Emma Roberts, currently starring in the movie Twelve alongside Chace
Crawford, recently debuted at the Teen Choice Awards with a new darker
hair colour and eye make-up to match.

However, her latest look was not welcomed by the Hollywood Life blog,
which explained that the hair shade is simply too dark as is the
eyeshadow.

"For me, the look is in one word: harsh. It does her pretty, young
face no justice. I think she looks far too severe and extremely washed
out," the writer asserted.

So a word of warning to those fashionistas looking to invest in the
latest makeup shades – ensure that you stick with blusher and, if
you're particularly pale, keep the dark eyeshadows to a minimum.

If you're looking for a more sedate look, take some inspiration from
Nina Dobrev who got a thumbs up from the blog for her beauty
essentials.

No matter if blue, brown, hazel or green, eyes have been referred to
as ?windows to the soul,? giving those who exchange glances the
power to better grasp one?s personality and emotions. Eyes reveal
joy and elation as much as they uncover sadness, melancholy and
distress. Sometimes pensive, mischievous or mysterious, eyes can let
us in on little secrets we might otherwise miss in dealings with
people we know and love.
Eyes can exercise a special power of seduction by casting an
enchanting gaze in another?s direction. A wink can signal a special
understanding or remind another of an inside joke or amusing memory.
Eyes also key into flirtation a great deal. Cartoons and old movies
always show the femme fatales batting their long, dark eyelashes in an
attempt to attract the men.
No matter what your motives, playing up the looks of your eyes will
bring a natural definition to your facial features while accentuating
perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic on your visage. The
main makeup components you may want to consider when dressing up your
pretty peepers Retro Eyes are mascara - Lashes Unlimited, eye shadow
and possibly eyeliner, though sometimes pressed powder or a light
foundation will work wonders for circles under the eyes.
Eye Shadow Artistic Palettes
Depending on the hues you wish to use, you can get a little colorful
and creative with the wide selection of products for eyelids on the
market. No longer do you have to sift through dozens of shades of eye
shadow powder looking for the perfect blend? now you can accessorize
your eyes with a beautiful array of powders - see Evangeline Lilly,
creams and glittery dustings. Traditional eye shadow powders are very
easy to use with small applicator brushes and foam pads. For a
dimensional look, blend two colors of powder or one color of powder
atop a cream shadow base.
With cream-based eye shadows, less really is more. The cream shadows
generally come in small squeeze tubes that really enhance the look of
your eyes with a light application across the lid, reaching up to your
brows if you wish.
Not sure about colors? Go with something neutral, like Uma Thruman,
the first couple of times until you get the hang of it. Apply a light
dusting of bronze, tan - see Bronze Ambition or other shimmery
transparent color for a gentle hint of color.
Mascara
When selecting mascara, many factors come into play, with each
brand?s newest addition to the line claiming bigger and better
benefits. From thickening to lengthening to blackest black, waterproof
and curling, each mascara product has a special offering of its own.
Considering your own lashes, choose one that best suits your needs.

If you wish to avoid that scary-looking metal eyelash curler that
appears more like an ancient torture devise, opt for a product that
contains a curling formula. Choose the color you want to wear - black,
brown or even navy blue. With so many options available, you can add a
couple types of mascara to your collection and change your look as
often as you like!
Generally, applying two coats of mascara will give enough definition
to lashes to really make a difference. Allow the first coat to dry
before applying the second in an effort to prevent clumping. If some
of the mascara accidentally brushes onto your eyelids or underneath,
simply use a q-tip to remove it. This may necessitate touching up your
eye shadow a bit.

Eyeliner

To really define your eyes, apply a thin line of eyeliner in black or
brown, khaki, plum or navy. To properly apply the eyeliner pencil or
liquid liner, gently pull the corner of your eye outward, forming a
straight line along your lashes. Starting at the inside corner and
working toward the outside, delicately trace a line with the pencil
angled toward your lashes.
Be careful how much eyeliner you apply, as a little really does go a
long way. For a dramatic look, thicker and darker is very acceptable.
For a subtle definition, stick with a lighter application.
Feel free to experiment with a bunch of different products until you
find the ones that suit you best. Also, check into the makeup counters
at local department stores. They have a wide array of makeup you can
test before you buy so that you know what you are getting for the
money. For lower budgets, drug stores sometimes offer a return policy
if a customer is dissatisfied with her purchase. Doing a home makeover
can be fun as well as a form of much-needed stress relief. For best
results, invite some girlfriends over and make a night of it!

perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic on your visage. The
main makeup components you may want to consider when dressing up your
pretty peepers Retro Eyes are mascara - Lashes Unlimited, eye shadow
and possibly eyeliner, though sometimes pressed powder or a light
foundation will work wonders for circles under the eyes.
Eye Shadow Artistic Palettes
Depending on the hues you wish to use, you can get a little colorful
and creative with the wide selection of products for eyelids on the
market. No longer do you have to sift through dozens of shades of eye
shadow powder looking for the perfect blend now you can accessorize
your eyes with a beautiful array of powders - see Evangeline Lilly,
creams and glittery dustings.
Mascara
When selecting mascara, many factors come into play, with each
brands newest addition to the line claiming bigger and better
